Carnauba, or more commonly but improperly - Carnuba, is a wax that comes from the Carnauba Palm which grows in Brazil. It is refined from the leaves of this tree.
Carnuba or Carnauba is used in automobile waxes, shoe and furniture waxes and polishes. It is used from everything from dental floss to cosmetics and with many foods. It can also give wood a high gloss shine. It is commonly used to coat candy and such fruit as apples.
