Carnauba, or more commonly but improperly - Canuba, is a wax that comes from the Carnauba Palm which grows in Brazil. It is refined from the leaves of this tree.
Carnuba or Carnauba is used in automobile waxes, shoe and furniture waxes and polishes. It is used from everything from dental floss to cosmetics and with many foods. It can also give wood a high gloss shine. It is commonly used to coat candy and such fruit as apples.
Used as an ingredient in LeatherMate, Carnauba (or carnuba) helps protect and bring out the natural colors of the leather. Carnauba was one of the main ingredients that made LeatherMate an award winning product in Italy where it was manufactured by a leather furniture company.

Lanolin is a greasy yellow substance obtained from certain glands of wool-bearing animals, most coming from domestic sheep. Very similar to wax, it is used in anything from skin ointments to water-proofing waxes.
Lanolin is sometimes used in the manufacture of such products as shoe polish partly because of it's waterproofing ability. Lanolin is used in cosmetics and on propellers. It has been used as a lubricant underwater again due to its water repellant properties.
Lanolin is used to soothe skin, by breastfeeding mothers on sore and cracked nipples. It can be used as an ointment to treat chapped lips, diaper rash, dry skin, itchy skin, rough feet, minor cuts, minor burns and skin abrasions. Some shaving creams contain lanolin.
Lanolin has been used for ages by baseball players to help break in their baseball gloves by softening the leather.
