How to Clean a Purse
How to clean leather purses:
Whether you are cleaning and conditioning a leather purse, a leather bag, leather pouch, leather satchel or a wallet purse don't use water. Water will dry the leather out more that it already is. Hand bags and accessories take a beating from the weather and just generally getting banged around. A lot of wear on a leather purse is on the inside where it is rubbing against your jeans or other garments. With lighter colored leather you may see stains from blue jeans so cleaning a white leather purse of these stains can be tricky.
Urad will do an excellent job cleaning and conditioning your purses and it only takes a few minutes. For the purse that you are using a lot you will probably want to treat it every few weeks. Others that you use only occaisionally you will obviously not have to treat so often. But remember that leather will dry out just sitting around so even if you have not used a purse in several months treating it with Urad will bring the fullness of color and the softenss back.
That fading and drying out from your purse rubbing is quickly fixed with a small application of Urad.
Put a small amount on the sponge and wipe any and all excess off. Apply to the surface of the leather purse and work it into the leather. Do not add any more cream until the sponge starts to drag a bit. You will see that immediately the leather color is restored. The amount it comes back will depend on how bad it has gotten but a lot of the 'fading' is just lack of moisture.
A Urad application every few weeks or when necessary will keep the leather supple, moisturized and waterproof. The neutral Urad can be applied to any color leather. For softer leathers you may want to add a bit of Tenderly to the application. You can actually mix the Urad and the Tenderly together. Tenderly is made for softer leathers, suede and nubuck. Do not use Urad on those materials.
Urad is fine for a patent leather purse or handbag as well. Urad is fast drying - within a minute or two it will no longer be sticky. If it feels like sticky leather after two minutes you are likely using far too much. It will dry but make sure that you use less of the product on the sponge if this is happening.
Apply every couple of months for a clean leather purse, handbag or any other leather accessories.
